Privacy policy

Forkstrong · Pushub Me LTD · Version 1 · Effective 1 October 2026

Forkstrong is built so that what you log stays yours. This policy explains what the app keeps, where it can go, and what you can do about it.

In short

  • No account. You never give us your name or email to use the app.
  • What you log is stored on this phone and in its backups. We never receive your body, food or workout data.
  • If you allow it, we count anonymous app usage with Google Analytics for Firebase. It stays off until you say yes, and you can turn it off at any time.
  • No ads. We never sell your data or share it for advertising.

Who we are

Forkstrong is published by Pushub Me LTD, HaMerkava 26, Holon, Israel. We are the data controller for the anonymous usage data described below. Write to us at support@pushub.net.

What the app keeps on this phone

To build your programme and meal plan and track your progress, the app stores:

  • About you: your birth month and year, sex, height, weight, waist, how active your daily life is, goals, target weight and pace, training experience, training days, session length, equipment and any time away you enter.
  • From the health check: only whether pregnancy or a recent birth applies to you, and when you answered.
  • Your training: sessions, sets, weights, reps, effort ratings and notes.
  • Your food: your diet, the allergens you avoid, the foods you dislike, the meals you log, your targets, the foods and recipes you add, your pantry, meal plans and shopping list.
  • Your weigh-ins, waist measurements and daily checks.
  • Your settings, including reminder times and appearance, when you accepted the terms, and your usage-data choice with the time you made it.
  • A log of the last 50 problems the app ran into. It records where the app failed and the error message, with the values of a failed save removed.

All of this stays in the app's private storage, protected by your phone's own lock and encryption. The app adds no encryption of its own. It works without an internet connection, and connects only to send the anonymous usage data you allowed.

Backups

Once set-up is finished, the app writes a backup file once a day and after every workout, and keeps the last 14 it has written since this install began. Backup files brought over from an earlier install are never removed automatically. The app sends backup files and exports nowhere by itself: you share one or save a copy, and it goes only where you send it.

A backup file holds everything listed above except the problem log and what belongs to this phone alone: your acceptance of the terms, your usage-data choice, your notification permission, the last update note this phone showed, and the days this install began, last saved a copy and last put off the reminder to save one.

On a new Android phone, or after deleting and reinstalling the app on any phone, the first screen offers Restore from a backup: it lists the backup files your phone brought back, and can open one you saved. You then accept the terms again, notifications need your permission again, and usage data stays off until you allow it.

Before an update changes how the app stores its data, and if that data is ever found damaged, the app also keeps a full copy of its database beside the backup files. That copy holds everything listed above except the problem log, this phone's own choices included.

Your phone's own backup can also copy the app's files. Google's backup copies the app's backup files and those database copies, never its live database, to your Google account, and only when the backup can be encrypted end to end (Android 9 or later with a screen lock). On Android 9 or later, moving to a new phone with a direct transfer copies them too.

Those copies are held by Google under its own terms. We cannot read them.

Reminders, widgets and the lock screen

Reminders and the rest-over alert are scheduled on this phone, not sent from a server. Their text, such as a session or meal name, can show on your lock screen, depending on your phone's settings. If you add the app's widgets, and during a workout (through an ongoing notification), your next session, meals or rest timer can show where anyone holding the phone can see them. Turn reminders off in Settings → Reminders, or in your phone's settings.

Anonymous usage data

Only with your permission. A new install is asked once during set-up, and nothing is collected until you agree. You can change your answer at any time with Share anonymous usage in Settings → Data & about.

What is sent: the names of the screens you open, never an id or a date inside them, and a short list of actions: moving through set-up and finishing it, starting and finishing a workout and its type (upper, lower or full body), logging a meal and where it came from, saving a recipe and whether it was built or copied, planning meals and for how many days, sharing a shopping list, exporting a backup (JSON or CSV) or restoring one, and switching a reminder on or off and which one. With these, Google Analytics records when and for how long the app is used, an ID created for this install, the app version, the phone model, its operating system and language, and an approximate region worked out from the connection.

What is never sent: your body measurements, sex, age, goals, calorie or macro numbers, what you eat, the weights and reps you lift, your effort ratings, the dates of your logs, notes, anything you type, or error messages. The app uses no advertising ID and sets no user properties.

Google's advertising features are off: no Google signals, no ad personalisation and no link to Google Ads. Google keeps the data for 2 months and then deletes it. Google processes it for us under its data processing terms, and it may be processed outside your country, including in the United States, under Google's safeguards.

We rely on your consent. Withdrawing it stops collection from then on. Reset analytics ID gives this install a new ID, so later data cannot be linked to earlier data.

What we never do

  • Show ads.
  • Sell your data or share it for advertising.
  • Ask for an account, your name or your email.
  • Track you across other apps or websites.
  • Read the backups your phone makes.

Keeping and deleting your data

  • Your data is kept on this phone until you delete it.
  • Delete all logs in Settings → Data & about removes your logged sets, sessions, meals, weigh-ins, checks, pantry, meal plans and shopping list, and keeps your settings, foods, recipes, time away and backup files. Those backup files still hold the logs you deleted.
  • Erase everything, in the same place, removes every log, your profile, settings, foods, recipes and time away, every backup file and database copy on this phone, its exports, its reminders and the problem log. It gives this install a new usage-data ID, leaves usage data off and starts set-up again. Copies you saved or shared elsewhere, and backups your phone has already made, are not touched.
  • Uninstalling the app deletes its storage on this phone. Files you exported and backups your phone made stay until you delete them.
  • Google deletes usage data after 2 months.

Your rights

  • See and take your data at any time: Export JSON backup saves everything, and Export CSV (set log) saves your training log.
  • Correct anything by editing it in the app, and delete it as described above.
  • Withdraw your consent to usage data at any time.
  • Complain to a data protection authority: in Israel the Privacy Protection Authority, and in the EU or UK the authority where you live.

These controls are in Settings, which opens once set-up is finished and the current terms are accepted. While an install already in use waits for the terms to be accepted, that screen offers Export a backup, and nothing is collected.

We hold nothing that names you, so we cannot look you up. For any question about your data, write to support@pushub.net.

Age

Forkstrong is for people aged 18 and over. It asks for your birth month and year first, and below 18 it stops without saving anything. We do not knowingly process data about anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

When this policy changes, the new version and its date appear here, and the app asks you to accept it before you carry on.
